INSPECTION OF LIFTING EQUIPMENT

In order to ensure the safe working condition of sling and load handling attachments, they must be inspected at regular intervals by a qualified person in accordance with BetrSichV and DGUV regulation 109-017.

VISUAL INSPECTION

As a basic principle, lifting equipment must be visually inspected before each commissioning. According to the DGUV-Regel 100-500 lifting equipment must be subject to detailed visual inspection at least once a year.

  • Limit gauges for chains, 6 mm to 28 mm
  • Wear gauges for JDT hooks, nominal size 6 to 22
  • Cable ties in annual color for marking the slings
  • Plastic labels indicating the annual colors used by us
  • Load capacity charts and posters

The hook mouth may be max. 10% larger than the nominal dimension >m< in the catalog. The wear on the pin diameter must be max. 10%.

CRACK TESTING

At least every 3 years, sling chains must be subjected to an additional test to ensure that they are free of cracks. In the case of load-handling equipment, it is also advisable to regularly check the load-bearing welds for cracks. We apply the following
